Did you know that the Driving Standards Agency allow partly trained instructors to charge full rate for driving lessons. These trainees have to pass an 'ability to instruct test' to become fully approved instructors and only about 30% manage to pass this test. Most of the big driving schools use lots of these trainees and there is no legal requirement to notify clients that trainees are conducting lessons. I would strongly advise you to avoid trainees. Also the bigger driving schools do not always use particularly good training vehicles, for example many do not have air conditioning and some even use second hand tyres when they need replacing. If you find an independent instructor like myself to talk to before taking lessons you can get someone that answers your questions enthusiastically and you get along well with. Then you are more likely to make progress with your lessons. I list below the benefits of opting for training with myself:-

·        Complete beginners are especially welcome. If you are a complete 

     begginer, or have only done a few hours of driving lessons and intend to take

     a full course of lessons, I can offer you an introductory 2 hour

     lesson for the same price as a 1 hour lesson (2 for the price of 1).   

·         As an experienced instructor who has previously worked for two large well established driving schools you will receive excellent training with good coaching and clear instructions and enjoy learning in a calm and friendly atmosphere with one to one tuition.

·         A training record is provided to help you know your strengths and weaknesses, and I will help you to recognize your individual needs. 

      My priority is to help you become a safe and responsible driver as

      quickly and efficiently as possible. 

·      Free printed handouts at end of each lesson to help you learn quicker.

·      Door to door service and no car sharing means no wasted time.

·         The very latest Oct. 2009 reg. Skoda Fabia dual controlled car ensures full security while you are learning, it is an excellent training car for learner drivers and has electrically heated and adjustable mirrors, power steering, air bags, ABS brakes and air conditioning.  

·         Lessons are available throughout the day including early mornings and

      late evenings.

·      Intensive courses available for those that wish to take and pass the test quickly.  

·         Refresher lessons and motorway lessons for maximum safety and confidence after you have passed your test.

·    Mock tests to help know when you are ready for the driving test.

·   Advance driving courses to help you reach a higher and safer level.

·   Fully qualified and approved by the Driving Standards Agency.       

·   Registered instructor of Driving Instructors Association. 

·        Registered instructor of Institute of Advanced Motorists. 

·       Authorized and registered with the DSA to teach Pass Plus courses, to

    help you stay safer on the roads.

·       If you prefer you can do the IAM advance driving course at the

     same time as doing the Pass Plus course. This would give you

    the opportunity to pass the Advance Driving Test with the possible 

    benefits of even cheaper car insurance (it also might help you if you are 

    considering a career in the driving industry); but most importantly it

    would improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver less likely

    to have an accident which statistics show is commonplace amongst

    new drivers.

    Should you wish a fast track method to passing the driving test why not take

    an intensive driving course. You can pass the test in as little as 3 weeks. To

    get an early test you will have to find a cancellation on the DSA website, I can

    do this for you but would charge £15.00 so you may just prefer to do it

 ·   Good success rate: You can expect to pass your driving test 1st or 2nd time.
